In dit artikel staat een overzicht van de 66 beste horror films ooit gemaakt. Deze lijst is samengesteld op basis van verschillende online fora en een persoonlijke voorkeur.
In de lijst staan een aantal films uit de jaren twintig van de twintigste eeuw. Persoonlijk kan ik deze films wel waarderen aangezien deze films het grotendeels moeten stellen zonder special effects. Wanneer je echter The Blair Witch Project (1999) hebt gezien, zul je misschien begrijpen dat horror films geen special effects nodig hebben om een goed en spannend verhaal te creëren.

Afsluiting Beste Horror Films Ooit
Hierboven staan de 66 beste horror films ooit opgesomd. Wanneer je suggesties voor deze lijst wil geven of een opmerking achterlaten, kan dat linksonder op deze pagina.
Persoonlijk vind ik The Shining, van de films die ik heb gezien het best op het gebied van het horror genre. Misschien komt dit omdat ik deze film heb bekeken toen ik hooguit twaalf was. De film begint ronduit rustig. Gedurende de film wordt de spanning echter steeds verder opgebouwd. Ik kan me nog herinneren dat ik een aantal jaren daarna de film Twister zag, waarin in een drive-in theater The Shining werd afgespeeld, ik schrok me rot ;)
